My debut novella, Franklin’s End, has received the Moon Meridian Novella Prize and will be published in summer 2027 by April Gloaming Publishing. The award is presented annually to a writer whose narrative demonstrates the capacity of compressed fiction to achieve the emotional resonance of a larger canvas. Past recipients have gone on to receive wider critical recognition. April Gloaming Publishing is an independent literary press known for discovering voices in contemporary southern literature.
Franklin’s End draws on the rugged landscape of Kentucky’s Cumberland Mountains, the region’s complex social history, and its haunting natural beauty in a story about legacy, grief, and the slow reclamation of self, buried beneath expectation.
